Hi Leonie

I Love the Images you posted, and I have a question for you, I posted it up on the Wall: WHAT_IS_THE_FUNCTION"

I heard an interview with a scotish artist about her work,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0maPSIkh0sM - 1:29 min

she talk about the function of art rather then the meaning, I think it's an intersting question to ask about a work like our, a work that is about geting to know each other and try to work togather.
I'm sending you a question that I think can help us defying our realationship.

So I ask WHat_iS-ThE_-_FUNcTioN

I somehow missed this question before... or thought it was rhetorical and my mind answered it absently.

What is interesting is today I have been reading about the city and the imaginary... the common aspects we think of in architecture:
FUNCTION (utilitas)
FORM (venustas)
SOLIDITY (firmitas)
...behind that is the thing that is difficult to represent as it belongs to the pre-logical field of experience... (what Minkowski calls 'the spaciousness of existence.')

This thing behind... could this be the meaning?? Is meaning spacious and subjective and organic? Corporeal even?

I am not answered your question! I am in library now so can't listen to the interview. I will, and will get back to you.

thank you Barak

Hi

I guess I'm not looking for an answer right away, I try to look at the way things are changing the space, we share a space togather. is it unlimited? and how can I communicate with you through this space.

Latly, cause of my work I find myself deep at sea or at ship yards, one of the thing that realy caught my eye was the fact that the horizon line has no distorbance between him and the sky, what you are two parellel lines wih a space between
I guess what I'm saying is that I saw a new form of relation between earth and sky.

I know I don't make sence, but when you feel like having a chat it might be clear or maybe it is fun to keep it unclear

cheers

Barak how are you? I am feeling a little lost.

I wondered if you would like to play a little game... we could set each other some kind of daily (or every couple of days) task, asking each other to find something or make and send something... along the lines of where we have been so far I guess?

If you would like to play, can I ask you this? Will you draw me your horizon?

Hi leonie,

don't feel lost I'm here :-), I was in the desert for the past week, and been through the craziest sand storm ever....

I would love to play a game with but I'm afraid I don't know how to draw, at least I can say that I'm afraid to do so. so instead I've upload my horizon, this image is a picture of Amasa mt. not far from where I was born in the desert, the name Amasa has a biblical connection, same as most of the places in Israel, Amasa was one of kind david warlords.

that's my horizon or what I can say that is my most likley place I would think when you tell the word horizon...

as for you'r task this week I whant you to take a picture of yourself crossing your horizon, you can draw it but you have to cross you're horizon

love to play games,

Barak
